After my Christmas Canada trip was canceled due to a snow storm, I cannot stop dreaming about my next adventure and all of the places that I want to visit. From cities that I frequent to countries that may take me years to get to, here are my top 5 travel destinations for 2017!
1. Quebec City- Our northern neighbors have a lot to offer throughout their country. The top on my list though, is Quebec City. Full of history and European influence, this city has a unique flavor that you would otherwise need to travel overseas for. (Hopefully another snowstorm won’t hit when I try to visit again.)
2. Thailand- If you can afford the plane tickets, you will definitely be able to afford most everything else. Thailand is extremely affordable. I you go, try to hit all three regions (North-Chiang Mai, Middle-Bangkok, and South-Island Hopping). You might find that the North is the cheapest region to visit
3.Cuba- With the death of Fidel Castro, a ton will start changing in Cuba. Try to get in to the country as soon as possible in order to experience a more untouched Cuban culture. There are a few restrictions on how to get in…like it has to be for educational purposes, but that is definitely something to work around. you can even find plane tickets for as low as $250 from New York now that larger US airlines such as Jet Blue fly there. Check out Rachel Earl’s Cuba videos for more information.
4. New York City- The city that never sleeps is also one of the cities that is closest to me. With something new to offer any time you visit and arguably the best public transportation in the US, it should be at the top of every travel bucket list. 5. US Virgin Islands- 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of the island switching hands from Denmark to the United States. In celebration, the USVI are giving you $300 for your trip to anyone staying more than 3 consecutive nights this year. You can find out more by booking your trip through their official website.
